I am a retired grandmother who is a maker of things.

As a teenager I became very sick and was not allowed any physical activity for weeks. My sister was wonderful when she went downtown to pick up a how to book, knitting needles and two skeins of yarn. By the time I could go outside and have fun with the neighbors, I had made a bag/pouch of my own creation. That was the beginning of a long relationship with making items with my hands and enjoying even the failures.

Various skeins of yarn in colors such as orange, green, cream, and gray, along with knitting tools including a wooden comb, metal knitting needles, a small pair of scissors, and a ruler, all on a white textured surface.
